Starting the router

Table 2-1 indicates the methods for starting and restarting.

Refer to Section 7.1.2, “STATUS lamp is in state other than lit up in green” if the
Status lamp lights red when starting or restarting the device. Also refer to the
Installation Guide for detailed information regarding the LED lamp display.

2.3

Stopping the router

Turn the device power off after confirming that the MC is not being accessed. There
are LEDs that indicate the state of MC access for each MC slot. When turning the
power off, confirm that the LEDs extinguish (MCs are not being accessed). MCs can
be damaged if the power is turned off with LEDs lighted (i.e., with an MC being
accessed).

In addition, if it is necessary to turn the power off immediately after executing
operation or configuration definition commands, turn the power off after a short time
(10 sec. or so) or turn the power off after stopping the device by the

reload stop

command.

password is not executed, thorough care
should be taken when starting by default
restart. Account and configuration definition
data prior to default reset is used.

For GR2000-2S, GR2000-4S, GR2000-6H,
GR2000-10H, and GR2000-20H, press the
reset switch while pressing and holding the
lamp test switch of the main set.
For GR2000-2S, GR2000-4S, GR2000-6H,
GR2000-10H, and GR2000-20H, press the
reset switch for three seconds or more and
then reset it.
