7.8.1.1 Inspection of Log Message and Interface
Communication is judged to be impossible because of hardware (RP, NIF, or line)
trouble (or breakdown) or adjacent router trouble. Use the
show ipv6 interface
command [ROUTE-OS6] to confirm the log message that this router displays or the
displayed interface up/down state. For the procedure, see Subsection 7.5.1,
“Communication cannot be done or communication is disconnected”.
7.8.1.2 Determination of Failure Range (Echo Test from This Router)
When no failure is found in the own router, a failure may exist somewhere in the
route between this router and the destination. The procedure to determine the failure
range is as follows.
Step 1. Log in to this router from the device management terminal.
