5.4.3 Confirming the DVMRP information
The contents of confirmation when a DVMRP function is set using the IPv4 multicast
routing information of the router are as described below.
5.4.3.1 Interface information
Execute a show ip dvmrp interface command and confirm the following.
Ensure that the Interface in the target Address is appropriate. If no interface
name is shown, DVMRP is not operating in that interface. Check the
configuration information to see if the corresponding interface is set to “DVMRP
enable.” In addition, ensure that the interface is not failing.
Ensure that the Nbr Count (number of neighbor DVMRP routers) in the target
Interface is appropriate. If “0” is shown, there may be no neighbor DVMRP router
or the neighbor DVMRP router may not have sent the DVMRP-Probe. Inspect the
neighbor DVMRP router.
