(b) To Check for the Possibility that a Packet is Discarded by the Bandwidth Control
Function of QoS
Step 1.
Login to this router.
Step 2.
Confirm if any packet is discarded at the input/output interface by the
bandwidth control function of QoS using the
show qos ip-flow
command.
[Example]
Confirm if a packet has been discarded by the bandwidth control function of
QoS, where the input interface name of the communication failed packet is
tokyo1 and the source IP address of the same packet is 170.10.11.21.
Step 1.
Login to this router.
Step 2.
Enter the
show qos ip-flow detail
command:
> show qos ip-flow detail
Using Interface:tokyo1/in
source ip :170.10.11.21 -170.10.11.30
packets of 1000000bps and under(priority3 discard4) : 7021
packets of 1000000bps over (drop) : 729
forward packets : 461
Using Interface:tokyo2/out

Confirm that the input interface name is

Compare the flow conditions confirmed in step 3 with the contents of a
packet that cannot be communicated. Confirm that the operation of
discarded.
In this example, since the IP address from which a packet is transmitted is
170.10.11.21, it matches

control of an input interface’s QoS function.
(c) To check for the possibility that a packet is discarded by the queue control function
of QoS
Step 1.
Login to this router.
Step 2.
Confirm if any packet is discarded at the input/output interface by the
queue control function of QoS using the
show qos queueing
command.
[Example]
Confirm if a packet has been discarded by the queue control function of QoS,
where the output interface of the communication failed packet is NIF1 Line No. 3.
