PIM-SM routing information
Enter the
show ipv6 mroute
command from the terminal and confirm that the route to
the subject destination address exists. If no (S.G) entry exists, confirm that the (*, G)
entry exists. If no (*, G) exists, and if the in-coming, downstream is not correct,
investigate the adjacent router. (*,G) is not used (does not exist) in PIM-SSM.

Confirming the MLD information
The contents of confirmation when a MLD function is set using the IPv6 multicast
routing information of the router are as described below.
5.7.3.1
Interface information
Execute a show ipv6 mld interface command and confirm the following.
Ensure that the Interface in the target Interface is appropriate. If no interface
name is shown, MLD is not operating in that interface. Check the configuration
information to see if the corresponding interface is set to “PIM enable.” In
addition, ensure that the interface is not failing.
Ensure that the Group Count (number of groups belonging to the own router) in
the target Interface is appropriate. If “0” is shown, there may be no Join Group or
the group host (PC) may not have sent the MLD-Report. Inspect the group host
PC.
