Ver. 07-02
Priority MC slot designation function
A function for specifying priority card slot that activates the device.
Private MIBs
MIBs independently provided by the device developing vendor.
Q
QoS (Quality of Service) control
Function for control communication quality including communication delays,
throughputs, etc., for real time or bandwidth guarantee type traffic
R
RFC (Request For Comments)
A public document recording specification for TCP/IP
RIPng (Routing Information Protocol next generation)
A route control protocol used in IPv6 networks
RIP (Routing Information Protocol)
A route control protocol used in IPv4 networks
RM (Routing Manager)
A routing manager. It executes control of the devices overall and routing control. In
addition, it produces and updates routing tables and distributes RPs.
RP (Routing Processor)
A routing processor. It has a routing and QoS table search engine as packet transfer
engine, searches routing, filtering and QoS tables and sends and receives IP packets.
Route flap damping
A function for temporarily limiting use of relevant routes and minimizing instability
in the network when route data flaps frequently.
Route reflection
A method for reducing the number of internal peers that form peers in the AS. Route
data distributed within the peer is redistributed to other internal peers and the
number of internal peers in the AS is reduced.
Route refresh
A function for forcibly readvertising routers already advertised by BGP4+, which only
advertises routes in which changes have occurred.
Routing peer
A peer that belongs to the same AS and is formed between BGP speakers that are not
physically directly connected. The IP address used for peering is either the device
address of the router or the interface address of the interface in the router.
S
SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol)
A network management protocol.
