Step 10.
If a routing cash downstream does not exist, confirm that router #1 and
router #3 are indicated by the
show ip pim neighbor
.
Step 11.
If the routing cash does not exist, charge the
show ip pim bsr
and the
show ip
pim rp mapping
commands in router #3, and confirm that the BSR and
rendezvous point (RP) are router #2.
7.7.2.2
PIM-SSM network
In the configuration of the IPv4 PIM-SSM network shown in the figure, follow the
procedure below when the packets sent from transmission source S1 to G1 in an
IPv4 PIM-SSM network cannot be received by host #1.
Step 1.
Ensure that the RP packages used in this entire router are RP-A1 and
thereafter.
Step 2.
Confirm that SSM is defined in the configuration definition information of
the router and that G1 is an SSM address.
Step 3.
Charge the show ip igmp interface command in router #4, and confirm that
the interface with host #1 is "enabled," and free of definition for suppression
on relaying using a filter.
Step 4.
Charge the show ip igmp groups command in router #4, and confirm that
host #1 is participating in the G1 group.
Step 5.
Confirm that (G1, S1) is defined in the configuration definition information
of ssm-join in router #4.
Step 6.
Execute a show ip rpf command in router #4 and confirm that the route to
S1 is recognized. In this case, router #2 is prescribed as an upper stream.
Step 7.
Charge the show ip mroute command in router #4, and confirm that the
multicast routing cash (S1, G1) from transmitter S1 to G1 exist. If the
multicast routing cache exists, confirm that iif is an SSM entry which is the
interface of router #2 and that oif is an SSM entry which is the interface of
host #1. If they don’t exist, confirm that the interface definition of the
PIM-SM with router #2 is "enabled", and free of definition for suppression
when relaying using a filter.
Step 8.
Execute a show ip pim neighbor command in router #4 and confirm that
router #4 can recognize router #2.
Step 9.
Charge the show ip mroute command in router #2, and confirm that the
multicast routing cash (S1, G1) from transmitter S1 to G1 exist. If the
multicast routing cache exists, confirm that iif is an SSM entry which is the
interface of router #1 and that oif is an SSM entry which is the interface of
host #4. If they don’t exist, confirm that the interface definition of the
