Confirmation of network interface state
5.1.1
Confirming the operational state of Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet lines
The operational state of Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet lines is confirmed in the
following way.
5.1.1.1
Physical interface
In connecting a line from the router to a network, execute a show interfaces
command and confirm that the display in display item

Confirm the following when a Tag-VLAN communication function is set in the
Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet lines of the router.
(a) Confirmation of operational state
Specify the Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet lines in which Tag-VLAN is set, using a
show interfaces command and confirm that the display in display item
"active up" (in normal operation). Also confirm that the vlan line information set
using a configuration definition command (vlan) is displayed.
