Start-up Overview
Start-up for the CFN SC III system consists of the following:
• Gathering site information from the customer for loading into the system
• Verifying the physical system layout
• Ensuring that the system complies with the guidelines and restrictions outlined in the
system Installation Manual and this manual
• Testing the system
• Helping the system user execute the commands needed to start the system
• Helping the system user back up release disks and explaining backup procedures
• Ensuring that the system user understands how to use the system
• Filling out the GASBOY CFN System Start-up Form (55F-066)
Required Tools
To perform testing at start-up, the following tools are required:
• Digital Voltmeter
• 1/4” Flat-blade Screwdriver
• Phillips
® Head #1 Screwdriver
• Phillips Head #2 Screwdriver
• Plastic Flat-blade Screwdriver (1/8” or smaller)
• 1/4” Drive Socket Handle
Note: A socket bit (C04479) #2, for the Island Card Reader (ICR) is shipped with every
CFN SC III system. This socket should be left with the end user.
• Tape Measure
• Diskettes (two to four blank double-sided, high-density diskettes for the SC III. Two blank
high density diskettes for Profit Point).
Note: Gasboy recommends that all tools and spare parts are with you when performing a
start-up procedure.
