Traffic is routed when the CDM-840 ‘TRAFFIC | GE’ port is on t he destination network. However, if the
destination network is beyond the CDM-840 traffic network, then a route is required to continue to the Next
Hop.
In this example, the Route Table (Edit) on the CDM-840 Configuration | Network | Routing | Routes
page shows that the destination network is beyond the CDM-840’s traffic network and the Next Hop IP is

When the destination network is on the CDM-840 traffic network, the CDM-840 dynamically adds an ARP
