6.3.2 Automatic CDM-800 Configuration
Upon power-up and bootup of the CTOG-250 system, the CTOG-250 checks the firmware
version of the CDM-800. If the version is not correct, the CTOG-250 upgrades the CDM-800’s
firmware, and then performs a reboot of the CDM-800 to load the new firmware.
Results of the upgrade process may be reviewed using the CTOG-250 Web Server
Interface STATUS | MONITOR page.

From the Windows-based User PC: Launch a terminal emulation program (e.g., HyperTerminal, Tera
Term, etc.)

Select the appropriate COM port (i.e., the port to which the DB-9 end of the cable are connected) and
configure it for:
38,400 bps
8 data bits
No parity
1 stop bit
No hardware flow control

Type “info” and press enter to display the CTOG-250 Serial Interface as shown here:
Note that if the terminal is not set to “Echo”, any input to the terminal will not be displayed when typing but
will be received by the CTOG-250.
