Table E-1 shows the Advanced VSAT Es/No at QEF, along with Spectral Efficiency, for each
ModCod number. The QEF point corresponds to a PER = 10

, based on 188 byte packets. Eight
entries in this table (ModCods 10, 11, 15-17, 20, 22, and 27) are highlighted to indicate where
the Spectral Efficiency does not change monotonically or provide less spectral efficiency than
another ModCod of higher order. For Advanced VSAT in Outbound ACM mode, the table is re-
sorted by Spectral Efficiency to assure monotonic behavior and system stability.
