Comtech Dynamic Routing Protocol (CDRP)
Use the drop-down menus to select each of these features as Enabled or Disabled, and then
click [Submit] to execute these settings:
• Routing Information Protocol (RIP) (Announcement Only) – When Enabled, RIP
Announcement messages will be sent which contain the list of Routes in the CTOG-250.
It is required to Enable RIP when operating a CDM-840 in Roaming mode.
• Comtech Dynamic Routing Protocol (CDRP) – When Enabled, CDRP will synchronize the
CTOG-250’s route table with all of the LAN routes for all of the CDM-840 sharing the
outbound carrier.
When Disabled, any existing manual or dynamic routes are used for processing traffic.
When Disabled, only manually created routes will exist in the route table
if the unit reboots for any reason.
• New dynamic routes Header Compression – Enable or Disable Header Compression for
all dynamically created routes unless the per-remote “Force” option has been
configured using the Configuration |WAN | Remote Sites page (see Sect. 7.4.4.3.2.4.1
for more details).
When Header Compression is Enabled for a route, all packets matching that route will
be header compressed.
• New dynamic routes Payload Compression – Enable or Disable Payload Compression
for all dynamically created routes unless the per-remote “Force” option has been
configured using the Configuration |WAN | Remote Sites page (see Sect. 7.4.4.3.2.4.1
for more details).
When Payload Compression is Enabled for a route, all packets matching that route will
be payload compressed
