Tools needed to install the CTOG-250 Slide Rails Kit (Figure 2-3):
• A medium Phillips screwdriver
To install the slide components onto the sides of the CTOG-250 and into the rack enclosure,
follow these steps:
Step
Task
1
Separate the Inner Chassis Rail (Item 1) from each slide rail assembly.
2
Install the Inner Chassis Rails onto the CTOG-250 chassis using the hooks that are on each side of the
chassis. Use the supplied mounting screws to secure each rail to the chassis.
The left and right Inner Chassis Rails differ and are clearly labeled as (L) and (R). Be
sure to install the rails in their correct operating locations.
3
Install the Outer Rack Rails (Item 3) into each side of the rack enclosure. Use the supplied mounting
screws to secure the mounting flanges to the rack enclosure’s front and back mounting rails.
4
Extend both Middle Slide Rails (Item 2) out from the rack enclosure.
5
Mount the CTOG-250 chassis into the front of the rack enclosure. Make sure that the Inner Chassis Rails
properly engage the enclosure-mounted Middle Slide Rails, and then slide the chassis into the rack
enclosure.
1. A minimum of two persons are required to safely install the CTOG-250 chassis into
the rack enclosure.
2. Take care to read all warning labels affixed to the rail components when installing
and operating the slide rails.
6
If needed, secure the front panel to the rack enclosure threaded front mounting rails with user-supplied
screws as shown in Figure 2-2.
