• Each CDM-840 must have a route back to the Hub Management LAN.

o If it makes sense for your network configuration, a default route (0.0.0.0/0

“toWAN”) in the CDM-840 is the simplest and recommended configuration.

o The Management IP address of the CTOG-250 is the IP address that is used for all of

the signaling messages that allows CDRP, ACM and automatic remote statistics

updates to occur.

o It is required for CDRP operation for the management network of the CTOG-250 and

CDD-880s to be connected at the hub.

CDRP does not manage multicast addresses. You must manually create a multicast routes with a

/32” subnet mask.

CDRP Operational Notes:

• CDRP routes are dynamic and are not stored in a configuration file on the CTOG-250. As

such, CDRP will resynchronize the route table every time the unit reboots or a

redundancy switchover occurs.

• Enabling CDRP is required for the proper and expected behavior of Outbound ACM. See

Sect. 7.4.4.3.2.1 for more details.

• Default routes to the LAN on the CDM-840 are ignored in CDRP.

o If a default “toLAN” route is required at the CDM-840 for your network and you

would like Outbound ACM to operate for that remote, contact CEFD Customer

Service to discuss possible configuration options.

• Existing manual routes that exactly match a CDRP route will be turned into CDRP routes.

This will not affect normal behavior; however, if you upgrade to FW Ver.

1.4.x, enables CDRP, but then downgrades to FW Ver. 1.3.x, the manual

routes will no longer exist.

At this point, you will be required to re-enter the routes, as CDRP is not supported in

that version of software. This behavior is a result of the requirement for CDRP to be

enabled for Outbound ACM to operate as expected.

The remainder of this section explains how to use this page for the creation of Dynamic or

Manual Routes.
