Using the Node View
Note: Knots are only visible when the pointer is positioned over a node.
This node-based approach has many advantages. By expressing the entire compositing
task as a big flowchart, of sorts, the flow of image data is easy to keep track of.
Graphical manipulation of the individual nodes in the tree also lets you make changes
by quickly turning on and off different functions in the composite, adding and
removing nodes where necessary.
Where Do Nodes Come From?
All of the nodes available in Shake are available in the Tool tabs, found in the lower-left
area of the interface.
You can also access the full list of nodes by right-clicking anywhere within the Node
View, and choosing a node from the Nodes submenu of the shortcut menu.
Shake on Mac OS X also provides a Tools menu in the menu bar, with submenus for
each Tool tab.
Clicking a node in the Tool tabs or choosing a node from the Node View shortcut menu
creates that node in the Node View. For more information about creating nodes, see
