CONFIGURE TERMINAL
Syntax
configure terminal
Parameters
none
Description
Use this command to enter the Configuration Terminal command mode.
After you enter this command, the command prompt changes to
“(config)#” to indicate the new mode.
To exit the Configure Terminal command mode, enter EXIT or CTRL Z.
For a description of the Configuration Terminal mode, see “Configuration
Terminal Mode” on page 19. For information about the commands in the
Configuration Terminal mode, see Chapter 4, “Configuration Terminal
Mode Commands” on page 115.
Note
It is not necessary to enter the full command. You can abbreviate
this command to “config t.”

switch#configure terminal
The prompt changes to:
