3.18 Preferences
Preferences allow you to define template files for new Analyzer projects, to specify how
sample files appear when opened, and to set ATAPI and SCSI Spec Assignments.
To perform settings in an open trace view, select Setup > Preferences.

Paths
User Path specifies the “User” folder path, used by the software after launching the Open
dialog.
Template Files
Protocol Analyzer: You can use a pre‐saved analyzer and/or analyzer/emulator project file
as a template. Whenever you make a new project file, the software uses the template to
initialize the project file.
New Protocol Analyzer Project in Advanced Mode: When you use the New menu item to
create a new project file, the software switches to Advanced mode automatically.
