Probing Electrode
Introduction
An electrode can be used to determine
position coordinates, and from them,
dimensions and angles on the workpiece.
To find the coordinate of a position on an aligned
workpiece

Select the probing function by pressing PROBING
POS.

Move the probing electrode to a starting position near
the touch point.

Select the probe direction and axis of the coordinate.
Use the corresponding soft keys for selection.

To probe the workpiece, press the machine START
button.
The TNC shows the coordinates of the touch point as datum.
Finding the coordinates of a corner in the
working plane
Find the coordinates of the corner point as described under ”Corner
as datum”.
The TNC displays the coordinates of the probed corner as datum.
