Key 1: check continuity between connector pins 1 & 7,
Key 2: check continuity between connector pins 1 & 8,
Key 3: check continuity between connector pins 1 & 9,
Key 4: check continuity between connector pins 2 & 7,
Key 5: check continuity between connector pins 2 & 8,
Key 6: check continuity between connector pins 2 & 9,
Key 7: check continuity between connector pins 3 & 7,
Key 8: check continuity between connector pins 3 & 8,
Key 9: check continuity between connector pins 3 & 9,
Key * or P: check continuity between connector pins 4 & 7
Key 0: check continuity between connector pins 4 & 8,
Key # or A: check continuity between connector pins 4 & 9,
If any of these continuity checks fail, the keypad should be replaced.
If one row or column of customer keys fails, make keypad continuity check as
described above first. If this passes, reconnect the keypad and check the wire
connections between interface board and keypad. Make sure there are no
broken wires and make sure all connectors are correctly mated. If the keypad
test is OK and the wire connections are good, replace the interface board.
9.3 Printer Doesn't Print
1) Make sure the printer power light is ON.
If not, plug printer in and turn power switch on.
2) Make sure the printer SEL (select) light is ON.
If not, press the select button to turn it on.
If the SEL light is flashing, the most likely problem is that paper roll is either
empty or not properly installed. The roll must be free to rotate. The sliding
shaft that secures the roll should be beyond flush with the left edge of the
printer.
3) Make sure printer cable is plugged into console & printer.
4) Make sure that a good ribbon is properly installed in the printer.
5) Use only ribbons certified for dot matrix print heads, and replace ribbon before
