Accessing SANtegrity Authentication tabs
There are five tabs in the Authentication section:
•
Users—Allows the security administrator to set up users accessing the switch from CLI and web
interfaces
to the switch or director. With the User
tab, the Security Administrator specifies
whether the Telnet and HAFM Basic interfaces are enabled, what method the switch or director
uses to authenticate users, and which users are authorized to use these interfaces.
•
Software—Allows the security administrator to set up software applications that can
communicate with the switch through API. The most common use of this tab is to define the
security settings for this server, so the switch or director can authenticate server requests to
manage the switch or director. This tab is also used to configure security setting for OSMS
(in-band) management.
•
Device—Allows the security administrator to set device-to-device authentication parameters. The
Device tab is PFE key-enabled. If a proper PFE key is not provided, the Device tab is not
accessible.
•
IP Access Control List—Allows the security administrator to set up IP addresses that can manage
the switch.
•
Radius Server—Allows the security administrator to set Radius server parameters that the switch
can use to pass on the authentication information to the designated Radius servers.
Common features about tabs
Only managed products that support SANTegrity Authentication can be configured. Non-managed
products display with generic icons in the Authentication Product Configuration table. The tab area
is displayed as gray for both non-managed products and managed products at the wrong firmware
level.
