Typical calculation
Calculate the range that permits setup of the pulse value under the range (FLOW SPAN-1) and pulse width indicated
below.
When set values of the range (FLOW SPAN-1) and pulse width are as follows;
FLOW SPAN-1: 36 [m
3
/h] (=0.01 [m
3
/s]), PULSE WIDTH: 50 [ms]
i) Case of DO1 output
From condition 1,
FLOW SPAN-1 [m
3
/s]
0.01 [m
3
/s]
PULSE VALUE
100 [Hz]
=
100 [Hz]
PULSE VALUE
FLOW SPAN-1[m
3
/s]
u 86400 [s] = 0.01 [m
3
/s]
u 86400 [s] = 864 [m
3
]
From the above:
0.1 [L]
PULSE VALUE 864 [m
3
] ····················· A
From condition 2,
2
u PULSE WIDTH [ms]
2
u 50 [ms]
PULSE VALUE

u

= 0.01 [m
3
/s]
u
1000
= 0.001 [m
3
] = 1 [L] ·········································· B
The settable range of the pulse value that satisfies both condition 1 and condition 2 is as follows from results
of calculation A and B:
1 [L]
PULSE VALUE 864 [m
3
]
ii) Case of DO2 output
From condition 1,
FLOW SPAN-1 [m
3
/s]
0.01 [m
3
/s]
PULSE VALUE
1 [Hz]
=
1 [Hz]
Condition 2 is same as that of the case of DO1 output indicated above.
Therefore, the settable range of the pulse value is as follows from results of calculation B and C:
10 [L]
PULSE VALUE 864 [m
3
]
For actual keying, refer to the typical operation indicated in the next page. Set the parameter protection to OFF
beforehand (Section 4.4.1).
