Part 1 Installation
(1) Connect to the controller the motor cable, encoder cable and LS cable (optional) from the actuator.
Before turning on the power, be sure to check each actuator is connected to the right connector on the
controller.
(2) Connect the teaching-pendant cable to the teaching-pendant connector. After the connection, set the
mode switch to MANU (by tilting the switch upward).
(If the mode switch is set to AUTO, the teaching pendant will not operate and RS-232 communication
will not establish after the power is turned on.)
(3) Connect the power cable to the controller.

This completes the preparation.
x 7KH9287DQG(0*,1WHUPLQDOVRQWKHV\VWHP IO connector are connection terminals for the
emergency stop switch. When the line between the two terminals becomes open, an emergency stop
will be actuated and the drive source will be cut off.
x 7KH9287DQG(1%,1WHUPLQDOVRQWKHV\VWHPIO connector are enable terminals. Operation is
permitted when the line between the two terminals is shorted. If the line becomes open, the drive
source will be cut off.
