White balance
There are two types of white balance:
•
one-push white balance: white balance is done only once (not continu-
ously)
•
auto white balance (AWB): continuously optimizes the color characteris-
tics of the image
Pike color cameras have both one-push white balance and auto white bal-
ance. White balance is applied so that non-colored image parts are displayed
non-colored.
From the user's point, the white balance settings are made in register 80Ch of
IIDC V1.31. This register is described in more detail below.
Note
Channel adjustment should be done in the same gain region as
in your real application.
If you use a much greater gain in your application, it may be
necessary to do the dual-tap offset adjustment again.
Dual-tap offset adjustment is done once in the AVT factory and
saved via Program button in User set 0.
The Program button is not available for the user.
