Defining the sorting parameters and part
tolerances
Select the first soft-key page on the standard screen.
Press the PART TOLERANCE soft key to open the SELECT PART
menu. The ND 287 can save tolerances for 10 parts.
?Press the SORTING ON [OFF] soft key to activate the sorting and
tolerance checking mode.
Press the RED, GREEN/[DISPL.BLUE] soft key to select the color of
the display value in the sorting and tolerance checking mode. The
default setting is blue.
Use the UP/DOWN arrow key to select the desired part. Pressing
the NAVIGATION key will take you to parts 5 to 9 on the next screen
page. As an alternative, you can directly select the desired part with
the numeric keys 0 to 9.
Press the ENTER key to open the TOLERANCES form or press the
C key to cancel.
Use the numeric keys to enter the values for the lower tolerance
limit (lower sorting limit), the nominal value and the upper tolerance
limit (upper sorting limit) in the LOWER LIMIT, NOMINAL VALUE
and UPPER LIMIT fields.
Press the ENTER key to confirm, or press the C key to cancel.

If all sorting and tolerance checking symbols light up,
the upper sorting limit is smaller than the lower sorting
limit. Change the respective parameters as described
above.
