To identify a K2 Summit Transmission Server Package, open Storage Utility and
view drive capacities. If 1 TB drives, the system is a K2 Summit Transmission Server
Package.

• DVCPRO HD not supported
• MPEG-2 data rates above 50 Mbps not supported
• AVC-Intra format not supported
• Transition effects not supported
• ChannelFlex Suite inputs and outputs are not supported..
• Mobile environment not supported.
Storage Utility procedures for the K2 Summit
Transmission Server Package
Storage Utility detects drive type/capacity and allows only those operations that are
correct for the drive type/capacity. If you need to bind the 1 TB drives, RAID 1 is
recommended. This is the default configuration as received from the Grass Valley
factory. However, Storage Utility allows you to bind as RAID 0 if you so choose.
