Enabling iTX v2 to use the assets in an iTX v1 system
•
The IP address of the machine in the iTX v1.x system on which the Locator Service is
running; this is normally the Database Server machine.
•
The name of the iTX v1.x domain.
The Add Tables To Database dialog:
•
In the Database Server box, enter the name of the Database Server machine in the iTX
v1.x system.
•
Ensure the entry in the Database Name box reads “Omnibus”.
•
Select Use Trusted Authentication. Or enter the required database-access credentials in
the Username and Password box.
The installer installs the selected components.
5.
Click Finish to close the iTX Installer dialog.
Configuring other services
To enable the iTX v1 and v2 systems to work together properly, small configuration changes are
needed for other services in these systems. You need to:
•
Edit the configuration file of the Media Data Service in the iTX v1 system.
•
Modify the Media Watcher configuration in the iTX v2 system for multi-domain
operation.
Edit the Media Data Service configuration file
Do the following for the iTX v1 system.
1.
For each Media Data Service, add the following entry in appSettings section of its
configuration file, G3MediaDataService.exe.config.

2.
Restart the Media Data Service(s) and the OPUS 2 iTX Bridge Service.
