←][→]arrow keys to select from the submenu choices shown, then press [ENT]. The
submenus available from the Configuration menu are as follows:

ALL

Permits the user to completely configure the unit, being prompted, step by step, to
make choices, or edit data. This is highly recommended for new users, as it will
clearly lead the user through all the configuration parameters.
MODE
5.4.2
Permits the user to select Frame Type and Data Format for Tx and Rx.
TX
5.4.3
(Transmit)
Permits the user to define, on a parameter-by-parameter basis, the Tx
configuration of the unit. These menu submenu branches would be used if the
user wished to change, for example, just the Tx Frequency.
RX
5.4.4
(Receive)
Permits the user to define, on a parameter-by-parameter basis, the Rx
configuration of the unit. These menu submenu branches would be used if the
user wished to change, for example, just the Rx data rate.
CLOCKS

Permits the user to select Tx-Clocking, Rx-Buffer/Clock, or External Reference
(CDM-600 only) / External Clock (CDM-600L only).

Permits the user to select Drop & Insert options.
FREQ-REF

Permits the user to select a Reference Clock, either Internal
10 MHz Reference or an External Reference of 1, 2, 5, 10, or 20 MHz.

Permits the user to select EDMAC options.

Permits the user to select, view, or change various other
parameters.
REMOTE

(Remote Control)
Permits the user to define whether the unit is being controlled
locally or remotely, and to configure the serial Remote Control parameters: baud
rate, I/O format, address.
MASK

Permits the user to activate or MASK an alarm condition.
IMPED

(Impedance)
Permits the user to select the impedance at the IF connectors, either
50
Ω or 75Ω.
STATS

Permits the user to enable and configure the logging of various statistics, including
Eb/No and AUPC parameters
IMPORTANT
Only one method of remote access may control the modem at a time. The modem may
be monitored over the remote control bus at any time (i.e., queries only), and the front
panel may be viewed.
To make configuration parameter changes from the front panel, local mode is required.
Via serial remote, remote mode is required, and via IP, Ethernet remote is required.
