On the CDM-600, this menu branch permits the user to monitor and control a Comtech EF Data
RF Transceiver (CSAT-5060 or KST-2000A/B), if connected. Refer to Appendix E. ODU
(CSAT-5060, KST-2000A/B) OPERATION VIA THE CDM-600 for complete details about
this modem-specific menu branch.
On the CDM-600L, this menu branch permits the user to configure a BUC (Block Upconverter)
or LNB (Low-Noise Block Downconverter), if connected. Refer to Appendix F. ODU (BUC,
LNB) OPERATION VIA THE CDM-600L for complete details about this modem-specific
menu branch.
5.11 SELECT: FAST
FAST OPTIONS: SET VIEW

FAST (Fully Accessible System Topology) is the way to enable new options in the modem.
Contact Comtech EF Data to obtain the FAST code for the desired option.
Select SET or VIEW using [
←][→] arrow keys, then press [ENT].

This menu is used to enable new FAST options in the modem. Obtain the FAST code for the new
option from Comtech EF Data. Enter the code carefully. Use the [
←][→] arrow keys to move the
cursor to each character, then use the [ ↑][↓] arrow keys to edit the character. When all characters
are edited, press [ENT].
The modem will respond with “Configured Successfully” if the new FAST option has
been accepted; otherwise, you may return to the menu to edit futher.
