Without the External 20 dB Step Attenuator Kit installed, the CONFIG: TX Æ POWER menu
may appear as follows:



When the programmable External Attenuator is detected, the appearance of the menu display
updates accordingly:



Use the [

][] arrow keys to select the TX PWR MODE parameter (on the top line of the

display), then use the [

] [] arrow keys to select the Tx Power Mode. Selections may include:

Tx Power Mode

Description

MANUAL

This is the normal power mode, with a calibrated Tx power level range of
–40 to 0dBm. Level values of –45 to 0 dBm are permitted; values noted with

*

indicate when a level exceeds the specification. The External Attenuator

will be switched off, if present.

MANUAL-LOW

This is a manual power mode with the programmable External Attenuator
activated. The calibrated Tx power level range is -60 to -20 dBm. Level
values of -65 to -60 dBm are permitted; values noted with

*

indicate when

a level exceeds the specification.

AUPC

Available only if EDMAC or D&I++ is enabled. The External Attenuator will
be switched off, if present.

AUPC-LOW

This is the AUPC mode, available only if EDMAC or D&I++ is enabled, with
the External Attenuator activated.

For either of the Manual modes selected, select each digit of the LEVEL (Tx Power Level)
parameter (on the bottom line of the display) using the [

][] arrow keys, then edit the value of

the digit using the [

][] arrow keys.

Press [ENT] when done.

OUTPUT POWER: MODE= MANUAL(MANUAL,AUPC)
OUTPUT POWER LEVEL= –15.0 dBm

TX PWR MODE= MANUAL-LOW (MAN,AUPC(LOW))
OUTPUT POWER LEVEL= –35.0 dBm
