F.3.4 (SELECT:) ODU (Outdoor Unit)
ODU: BUC-FSK BUC-CONFIG BUC-LO
LNB-CONFIG LNB-LO
Select BUC-FSK, BUC-CONFIG, BUC-LO, LNB-CONFIG, or LNB-LO using the [
←][→]
arrow keys, then press [ENT]. The menu branch submenus are as follows:
BUC-FSK
If an FSK-capable BUC is employed, provides access to a further set of menus that
define the FSK setup, and use it for control and monitor.
BUC-CONFIG If a BUC supply is installed, permits the user to configure BUC-related items.
BUC-LO
Allows setup to program Transmit frequency in terms of terminal uplink frequency
rather than modem IF output frequency. Entering a nonzero value for BUC LO will
cause the TX IF frequency programming under CONFIG: TX
Æ TX-IF to be entered
and displayed as the actual TX frequency for the satellite terminal.
LNB-CONFIG If an LNB supply is installed, permits the user to configure LNB-related items.
LNB-LO
Allows setup to program Receive frequency in terms of terminal downlink frequency
rather than modem IF input frequency. Entering a nonzero value for LNB LO will
cause the RX IF frequency programming under CONFIG: RX
Æ RX-IF to be entered
and displayed as the actual RX frequency for the satellite terminal.

FSK: LINK =OFF TX–OUTPUT=N/A
LEVELING=N/A ADDRESS=N/A
Select a parameter to edit – LINK, TX-OUTPUT, LEVELING, or ADDRESS – using the
[
←][→] arrow keys, then use the [↑][↓] arrows keys to edit the settings for that parameter. Press
[ENT] when done. Observe the following:
LINK
To control FSK communications with the BUC, use the [
↑] [↓] arrow keys to select
communications as ON or OFF, then press [ENT] when done.
TX-OUTPUT
Disabled in LINK OFF position.
To control the TX RF output from the BUC, use the [
↑] [↓] arrow keys to select
output as ON or OFF, then press [ENT] when done.
LEVELING
Disabled in LINK OFF position.
To control the automatic BUC output power leveling loop, use the [
↑] [↓] arrow keys to
select the leveling as ON or OFF, then press [ENT] when done.
ADDRESS
Disabled in LINK OFF position.
To set the FSK address for the BUC, use the [
↑] [↓] arrow keys to assign an address
from 1 to 15, then press [ENT] when done.
