Step 3: Press (ENTER| to put the expression on the stack. Assuming
that the 2x5 matrix is already stored in
MATR, press
(EVAL) to compute the sum of its elements.
To apply a mathematical function to each element in an array:
1. Enter an array.
2. Enter a program that contains a fimction. The program must take
one argument and give one result.
3. Type TEFlCH and press (ENTER).
4. Press (VAR) Et PRi PLY . The function is ied to
each element, and the result replaces that element:. Tf the applied
function returns an algebraic for one of the elements, then the array
is returned in list format.
