View Advanced Edition products.
Launching other HP XP7 Command View Advanced Edition
products
Other integrated HP XP7 Command View Advanced Edition products for which you have a license
installed and registered may be used via the link-and-launch feature.
About launching other HP XP7 Command View Advanced Edition products
By starting related products from XP7 Command View AE, you can execute more detailed settings or
check the whole image of the storage resource.
An integrated single sign-on is used for all XP7 Command View AE products for which you have a
license installed and registered. Related XP7 Command View AE products must be installed on the
same system as XP7 Command View AE to use the link-and-launch feature.
Link-and-launch enables you to easily move across storage management software for a full view of
storage resources. XP7 Command View AE provides link-and-launch integration with the following
software applications:
• HP Storage Essentials
• Element Manager
For storage systems other than HP XP7 Storage, you can start Element Manager from Device
Manager, which allows you to view storage system information or remotely operate the storage
system.
NOTE:
If you have problems starting XP7 Command View AE products or Element Manager, follow the
instructions in the displayed message, check the network status, and then try again, or report to the
server administrator which product could not be activated.
