8.1 Disabling the Key Operation (Key Lock
Function)
Disable the key operation.
For a description of the function, see section 1.7.
Setup Screen
• Selecting the Key Lock Function
Press MENU (to switch to setting mode), hold down FUNC for 3 s (to switch to basic
setting mode), and select the Environment tab > Security, Media save.
• Key Operation to Be Disabled
Press MENU (to switch to setting mode), hold down FUNC for 3 s (to switch to basic
setting mode), and select the Menu tab > Keylock > Key action, Media * or Action of
Function.
* On FXs that do not have a CF card slot or USB interface (/USB1 option), the sub menu item
is “Key action.” In addition, the “Media/USB” group of setup items is not displayed.

Setup Items
• Security > Key
Select Keylock.
Settings Description
Keylock Enables the key lock function. The Keylock item is displayed in the basic setting
mode menu.
Login Enables the login function. See section 8.2.
• Keylock > Password
The password used to release the key lock. (Up to 8 characters, A a # 1 )
The password is displayed as “********”.
• Key action, Media/USB, or Action of Function
Select whether to lock each item.
Settings Description
Free Key lock not applied.
Lock Disables the operation.
