■ Failure to Add a Network Printer
If adding a network printer to/from the scanner is not possible, try the following steps.
Also, read the printer manual beforehand that provides information about how to set
printer settings and how to add a network printer.
■ Action
Install the Windows 10 printer driver on the print server.
Check that the Windows 10 printer driver has been correctly installed on the print server. For
more details, refer to
"4.14 Setting the Network Printers" (page 146) .
■ Action
Check the shared name on the print server.
■ Action
Check that the specified network printer path is correct.
■ Action
Create a network printer on the print server with a shared name that does not contain the vertical
bar (|), and register the network printer again.
■ Action
Set the LAN Manager authentication level to the same level as the server for the network printer.
The Windows 10 printer driver has not been installed on the print server.
Network printer shared name has been changed.
The specified network printer path is invalid.
The network printer shared name contains the vertical bar (|).
