5.8.13 Optimizing Scanned Data (Cleanup)
Scanned data can be optimized by image processing.
Setting items differ depending on the image mode.
■ In [Color] or [Grayscale] mode
The following items can be set.
 Sharpness
Emphasize the outlines of text or lines, and reduce moire (recurrent patterns).
 Color Cleanup
Clean the background of image to suppress the color or density unevenness.
 White Level Follower
Control the threshold value so that the background will be recognized to be white.
1. Select [Cleanup] under [Image Correction] on the scan settings window.
 The [Cleanup] window appears.
2. Specify each item.
3. Press the [OK] button.
 The information entered is set.
