Time Parameters

1. Period: defined as the time between the two crossing points of the middle

threshold values of two continuous edges with the same polarity.

2. Frequency: defined as the reciprocal of period.
3. Rise Time: the time that the signal amplitude rises from 10% to 90%.
4. Fall Time: the time that the signal amplitude falls from 90% to 10%.
5. + Width: the time from the 50% threshold of a rising edge to the 50%

threshold of the next falling edge of a pulse.

6. - Width: the time from the 50% threshold of a falling edge to the 50%

threshold of the next rising edge of a pulse.

7. + Duty: the ratio of the positive pulse width to the period.
8. - Duty: the ratio of the negative pulse width to the period.
