Adding a Toolbox Item to a Monitor
Selecting Multiple Items
Items may be selected so any changes that are made to one item will apply
to all items within the selection. There are two ways to select multiple
items:
• Pressing shift and then clicking items
• Selecting items in the Fill mode
Each of these methods is described below.
Pressing Shift and then Clicking Items
This method will work in any View mode.
1. Select the preferred item, this selection is the Primary selection.
2. Press the Shift key on your keyboard while clicking another item.
The Ctrl key can also be used to select multiple items.
Any item clicked will become a secondary selection and show a Lt.
green border. In the example shown in
Figure 177 , the Tile 1 Video Tile
icon is the primary selection. The Text box and Audio Meter icon are
selected and are secondary.

Press the Esc key to cancel the selection.
Selecting Items in the Fill Mode
This method will only work in the Fill mode.
1. Ensure that the Fill is selected from the View drop-down list.
2. Click and drag your mouse to select all of the items that you wish to
select. A highlight rectangle will appear over all selected items. In the
example shown in
Figure 178 , all the items were selected.
Note Any item touched by the highlight rectangle will be added to the selection.
