Section 6 — Trinix Multiviewer Editor
Delete:
Selecting this menu option will open the Delete Configuration
dialog. From this dialog, you can select a previously saved configuration
and then delete it by clicking the
Delete
button. The configuration will then
be removed from the database.
Rename:
Selecting this menu option will open the Rename Configuration
dialog. From this dialog, you can select a previously saved configuration,
enter a different name in the New name field, and then rename the configu-
ration by clicking the
Rename
button.
Compile Configuration File:
Selecting this option will compile the current
configuration as two XML files. The files are stored in the following loca-
tion: C:\Grass Valley\Trinix Multiviewer\Configurations\Sub-folder. The
Sub-folder will be called by the selected configuration’s name.
Two files are generated,
•
Use Automatic Resource Allocation
: Selecting this option will gen-
erate and generated the xml files.
•
Use manual Resource Allocation
: Selecting this option will open the
Manually Allocate Resources Window to allow you to edit the manual
resource allocation. Click the
Publish
button to save to the database, gen-
erate the xml files.
Note
The configuration will be saved when you compile, unless it is the first time
and no name for the configuration yet. If the configuration has errors, the
configuration will be compiled but cannot be published. This feature will help
you to find the errors.
Compile and Publish Configuration:
Selecting this option will open
either:

Use Automatic Resource Allocation
: Selecting this option will gen-
erate, save, and publish the xml files.
•
Use manual Resource Allocation
: Selecting this option will open the
Manually Allocate Resources Window to allow you to edit the manual
resource allocation. Click the
Compile
button to generate, save, and
publish the xml files.
Note
The configuration must be saved before you compile. If the configuration has
errors, the configuration will be compiled but it will NOT be published.
Publish Configuration Theme:
Selecting this option will open the Publish
theme files to the selected systems dialog.
