Using Effect Options
Some video effects and 3D transformations have additional options. For a
description of each option, see Appendix B.
To choose and adjust effect options:
1. Press 8 on your keyboard or click the Video Effects Tool button in the
Timeline Toolbar.
2. Click the effect on the FX track you want to modify.
3. Click the Options tab in the Video Effects Tool.
Name of Option Description
Blend Lets you change the opacity or edge softness of a resize or key shape
effect.
Border Lets you apply a border to a resize or key shape effect, change the color
and size of the border, and adjust border placement around the image.
Crop Lets you trims the foreground image of a resize or key shape effect.
Hold Key Lets you manipulate the video image while keeping the shape, path,
etc. intact.
Drop Shadow Lets you apply a drop shadow to the foreground image and change the
shadow’s color and opacity.
Path Control Lets you apply different paths to a particular keyframe or part of an
effect; overrides the chosen effect path.
Slab Lets you add a 3-dimensional border, creating depth in your image.
Highlight Lets you add colored highlighted areas to a warp effect.
