Channel Routing
You can select where the audio tracks of your sequence output by specifying
the number of output channels and routing the channels.
With NewsEdit XT, you can set the number of output channels in the Options
Menu. To change this setting, see “Setting Output Options (NewsEdit XT
only)” on page 317.
For a two-channel system, the channels route by default as follows:
• If the pan control is in the left position, output routes to Channel 1.
• If the pan control is in the right position, output routes to Channel 2.
• If the pan control is in the center position, output routes to all channels.
To change channel routing:
• Click the arrow next to the
Channel Routing
field for each audio track you
want to change and select a new setting.
You can select from
1+2
,
3+4,
or
ALL
. If you have more than four audio
tracks in your sequence, click the
Bank Select
arrow to move to Bank 2 and
then make your changes for tracks A5 through A8.
