Assign effect or step timing using numeric entry:
Step 1. At Effects palette, select an effect to be edited. (A white box will appear around the selected item.)
Step 2. At Effect Edit screen, press any timing field area. Set timing values using pop-up numeric keypad.
Step 3. Press and hold [Store] while pressing


to store changes.
Assign step timing using tap-sync:
Step time can also be set using the "tap-sync" method.
+ Hold Cmd and repeatedly tap the Stop/Step button a few times at the desired rate on a submaster while running
an effect (refer to
"Basic Playback" on page 189 for more information about playback). The average tap time,
entered while the Cmd key is held down, will be applied live and stored to the effect.
A new tap sync average is calculated each time the Cmd key is held while tapping the Stop/Step button.
