13.3 Constellation and connection
»VisiWinNET®« accesses the fieldbus driver (CAN and EtherCAT) of the Industrial PC via
OPC tunnels.
Depending on the constellation, the servers are connected to »VisiWinNET®« either locally
or via another computer (remote). A remote connection for instance is reasonable if an
Industrial PC is only responsible for the visualisation and accesses the process data of
another Industrial PC.
The following data can be accessed:
 Access to the data of the data manager (e. g. logbook data),
 Access to the data of the nodes on the fieldbus (e.g. CAN),
 Access to PLC variables.
During all accesses the OPC server is connected to the
»VisiWinNET®« project via the OPC tunnel.
