dlmmkinitrd Utility for Supporting a Boot Disk
This utility creates an initial RAM disk image file for using an HDLM device as
a boot disk.
Note that, for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6, the dlmmkinitrd utility is not
installed. To create an initial RAM disk image file in Red Hat Enterprise Linux
6, use the dracut command.
Format
For Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS4/ES4 or Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5

Parameters
For Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS4/ES4 or Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
-v
Specify this parameter to output a log to the console during execution of
the dlmmkinitrd utility.
-f
Specify this parameter to create an initial RAM disk image file that has the
same name as an existing file. If you execute the dlmmkinitrd utility with
this option specified, the created initial RAM disk image file will be
overwritten.
-fstab fstab-name
Specify the fstab file used to determine the root device file system. The
default is /etc/fstab.
initrd-image
Specify the full path name or relative path name of the initial RAM disk
image file to be created by using the dlmmkinitrd utility.
