step 23. If you are using a Xen kernel, delete the root device

Specify the initial RAM disk image file created in step 19 for initrd
contained in the boot loader configuration file.
Change the initrd specification in the configuration that you copied in
step 23.
If you are using a Xen kernel, change the initrd file name specified in
module to the initial RAM disk image file you created in step 19. For
details on Xen kernels, see
Table 3-61 Xen Hypervisor Operating
Environments Supported by HDLM on page 3-88
Keep in mind that the specification method for initrd differs depending
on the boot loader.
If any options have been specified to suit the user environment, take care
not to delete those options.

If SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server is used, delete the resume setting
contained in the boot loader configuration file.
Delete the resume specification contained in the configuration that you
copied in step 23. If resume is set for the kernel parameter, delete the
resume setting, because it is not supported by HDLM.

In the boot loader configuration file, edit the settings to be used during a
boot.

Change the default number so that a boot can be performed using
the configuration copied in step 23.
