FE (Find Edge)

[Motion]

DESCRIPTION:

The FE command moves a motor until a transition is seen on the homing input for the associated axis. The
direction of motion depends on the initial state of the homing input (use the

CN (Configure Limit

Switches)

command to configure the polarity of the home input). Once the transition is detected, the motor

decelerates to a stop.

This command is useful for creating your own homing sequences. See the example section.

EXAMPLES:

HINT:

Find Edge only searches for a change in state on the Home Input. Use

FI (Find Index)

to search for the encoder

“C” channel. Remember to specify

BG (Begin)

after each of these commands. Use

HM (Home)

to search for both

the Home input and the Index.
