Data Setup
Point/Grid File
This menu item allows you to create or show a points/grid file. The points/grid file is a Fieldware .GMF file. This is
the file that you can store visited sample point locations or predetermined sample point locations in. This file contains
all mapping objects (points, lines, and polygons), including the sample grid that is created using the Fieldware-Tools
Form Grid.
To change the Point/Grid File setting, highlight the Point/Grid File menu item and press . The Point/Grid dialog
box appears. Select the desired setting using the arrow keys . Once the desired setting is selected, press to
return to the Data setup menu, see Figure 4 -6.

Setting Description
Show Shows an existing .GMF in the background of the real-time map view.
New Creates a new .GMF file that sample point locations can be stored in.
Off No .GMF file is used in the real-time portion of Nav 2 Point.
