4.10.2. Setting the Bi-directional range
Description
z The function measures the flow rate of either forward or reverse flow while changing
over the range corresponding to the flow direction.
z The current output changes with the action range as illustrated on the right.
z The hysteresis can be set to between 0 and 20% of the action range.
z Upon setting DO1, DO2 or DO3 to "FULL SCALE2", a contact outputs "FULL
SCALE2" action.
Select “ACTIVE ON” or “ACTIVE OFF” separately. (See 4.10.5.)
z Settable range: ±0.3 to 32[m/s]; 0.984 to 105 [ft/s] in terms of flow velocity for FULL
SCALE1 and FULL SCALE2.
* Preset PIPE PARAMETER and FLOW UNIT.
* If a value beyond the settable range is inputted, "INPUT ERROR" appears and
then last setting is resumed.
* If "FLOW UNIT" has been changed after setting the range, redo the range setting.
* When FULL SCALE2 is not used (in the case of single range), set “0” to FULL SCALE2.
The flow rate unit is as selected by "FLOW UNIT" in “MEASURE SETUP” mode. Before setting range, set the "FLOW UNIT".

For actual keying, refer to the typical operation indicated below. Set the parameter protection to OFF beforehand. (See Section 4.4.1.)
Operation
(example) Set “BI-DIR” to “RANGE TYPE”, 20[m3/h] to “FULL SCALE1”, and -10[m3/h] to “FULL SCALE2”.
Set “RANGE HYS.” to 7%.
