Set the baud rate for the serial port on the Signaling Server to 9 600 b/ps.

Note: The IBM X306m Signaling Server ships with the serial port set to
9600 b/ps.

Configure the connected maintenance terminal. See Signaling Server:
Installation and Commissioning (NN43001-312).

Press the Power switch.

In geographic regions that are susceptible to electrical storms, Nortel
recommends that you plug the HP DL320-G4 Signaling Server into an AC
surge suppressor.
