Syntax
snmp-server community
no snmp-server community
no - This command removes this community name from the table. The name is the community name to
be deleted.
Default Setting
Two default community names: public and private. You can replace these default community names with
unique identifiers for each community. The default values for the remaining four community names are
blank.
Command Mode
Global Config
This command activates an SNMP community. If a community is enabled, an SNMP
manager associated with this community manages the switch according to its access right. If
the community is disabled, no SNMP requests using this community are accepted. In this
case the SNMP manager associated with this community cannot manage the switch until the
Status is changed back to Enable.

no - This command deactivates an SNMP community. If the community is disabled, no SNMP requests
using this community are accepted. In this case the SNMP manager associated with this community
cannot manage the switch until the Status is changed back to Enable.
Default Setting
The default public and private
communities are enabled by default. The four undefined communities are
disabled by default.
